Privacy Policy

This policy explains what YouTube Summarize collects, why it is collected, and how you can control your data.

Effective July 16, 2026

Information We Collect

When you use YouTube Summarize, we store account information needed to sign you in, summaries you create, summary lists, billing state when applicable, and basic usage records such as summary reads and creation counts.

If you connect your YouTube account, we request read-only YouTube access so the app can show supported account sources such as liked videos, recent activity, and uploads.

How We Use YouTube Data

YouTube data is used only to display selectable videos and to create summaries for videos you choose. The app does not modify your YouTube account, upload videos, post comments, change playlists, or change your likes.

YouTube access and refresh tokens are encrypted at rest. Video metadata may be stored with import jobs and summaries so you can see what was selected and open completed summaries later.

Google API Services User Data Policy

Use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Sharing

Private summaries are visible only to your account. If you make a summary or list public, anyone with the public link may read it and search engines may index it.

We do not sell your personal information or YouTube account data.

Retention and Deletion

You can disconnect YouTube from the YouTube library page. Disconnecting removes stored YouTube tokens from the app.

You can delete summaries from your account. To request account or data deletion, contact us at the email below.
